I believe that love can last forever...what souls God has joined together, noone has the power to part...not even in death. For death will separate them for just a while, until they meet again.

    Story Behind the Song
I received an e-mail note close to Valentine Day that told a beautiful story about a love that lived on after death. After reading it, I went into a day dream where I became the woman in the story and I wrote the song the way I saw it happening to me. Once again, the words just came and in no time, I had the words and the melody. I sent the words and melody and my ideas to Gerry Peters and he took care of the rest. Later Dave Kelldorf helped me put my vocals on the demo. Thanks to Gerry and Dave for all your help with my songs.

    Lyrics
The card read...Special Delivery, Be My Valentine
    He Sends Me Roses
    Each year about this time

"A Rose for a Rose", hed always say,
Then wed turn our faces toward the sun and laugh the day away
"From the flowers in Gods garden he said that he picked me."
"Three perfect words for my perfect love" in perfect harmony

Hed say, "I love you more and more with every passing day."
His words were like roses that wont bloom and fall away.

A year has passed away and so did he
Oh, the scent of the rose that lingered is now a memory
Yet I listen for his laughter just like the year before
Dried remnants as a center piece, no knock upon the door.

Hed say, "I love you more and more with every passing day."
His words were like roses that wont bloom and fall away.

As I wipe my tears the doorbell rings and I never thought Id see
A dozen long stem roses; and a card addressed to me.
There was a standing order in case he wasnt there to see
This look he cherished on my face when the roses came to me

The card read...Special Delivery, Be My Valentine
    He Sends Me Roses
    Each year about this time
