Progressive rock in nature. Starts slow and gains momentum. Unorthodox song structure. No chorus to speak of. Interesting.

    Story Behind the Song
Basically, we were really just getting to know each other musically. We put about 30 minutes of continuous music to tape and turned our favorite segments into songs. This one was altered only very little from the way it first went to tape.

    Lyrics
    Written by Mike McLaughlin

Sixty-five ways I call your name
but they never sound the same to me
I take a drink and then I think
am I truly worth a subtle sneeze
    the creation, the mutation
the lying in the bed with the T.V. on
I know it sounds a bit absurd
but I never knew I'd feel this strong
    that strong

Frazzled, mocked,I attribute all to some lore
Where'd you get the opinion you needed more
    the strangers in your bed
    freedoms in your head
step right up and take control
do you know the things that you ought to know

    where'd you get the abandon
    where'd you get ties
the smoke hasn't cleared since you left me
    all of this time
    we became, we belonged
all those facts, all the time
do you ever look at pictures of me
    do you ever feel

I gave you all I had
    you backed away in return
something got the best of me
but thats not of your concern
    don't ever wait for tomorrow
don't say you'll be there for me
we were never lost for words
still it's not for me to say
that you'd hang your wisdom on something
    you'll never say
