    Story Behind the Song
This poem is inspsired by helpful "friends" and fathers

    Lyrics
    No one understands me
    No one can relate
They think they hold the magic key
    To unlock my dreadful fate.

Some say, "I will help you, you can count on me"
But then they turn away and the "I" I cannot see
The help that I was offered was taken away bitterly
When I don't need help it's given abundantly

The help that was advertised was not what it seemed to be
    It was an invitation
    With no number to R.S.V.P.
