Story Behind the Song
"I remember back in Vietnam I was stationed in De Nang, and I remember it was really great. The heat was wonderful, and most of the day we would just sunbathe and drink cocktails. One day I was drinking a Screaming Orgasm by the lovely Vietnamese sea, just basking on the beach with the sun beating down on my neck, when i heard a strange holy sound emanating from the sky.
I felt a touch on my shoulders and I immediately jerked back. There was a man, smiling confidently and staring back at me, I began to smile as well. He had a strange presence, an aura, and I knew he was somehow divine. His name was Joseph Spinoli, and he had come to rescue the planet... he seemed very sure of himself.
As if from nowhere, he produced a guitar and he sat upon the sand as if it were the most comfortable chair. He busked his songs for hours and a crowd slowly gathered around him. Before long, there were fifty fellow soldiers hanging on his every chord, his every note. He played sweet music - and, while he played, nothing was important except him.
He played on until midnight, when the sun gave us respite from the oppressive heat, then he stopped. Without a word from anyone he got up and slowly walked away. Nobody spoke for at least an hour after he left. We all remained motionless, we couldn't take in what had truly happened.
For the first time ever, a recording of his Vietnam performance has been recovered and restored by scientists, for you, the average every day person who may never hear these amazing sounds again." - FILM STAR JUDY GARLAND
Lyrics
Pico Iver lost yourself in the things we did
Pico Iver sold your soul for a patio
Nothings really going on till it's already happened
Pico Iver found yourself in a magazine
Pico Iver doing things for a beauty queen
Pico Iver lost myself in the things you did
Pico Iver sold my soul for a patio
Now that everything's been done
Oh Pico Iver what will you do?
Pico Iver lost yourself in the things we did
