"This tune is a latin futuro samba piece about unrequisited..er..whatever love. It has awesome free dimunitions, and if it were on the radio, it'd definitely make number 1. It's our next smash hit! " - Dewey

    Story Behind the Song
"This song was written in a couple of days, and it has to do with my life, and something that happened to me similarly last year, but this time it has to do with a big millenium party. The lyrics are pretty clear, I think. It's about how somebody writes a nice song for a girl he likes, and finds out on the night he gives it to her that she already has a boyfriend. Then he goes back to his mommy because he's totally sick of this thing called love. You stupid girl, I can't believe you betrayed me like that and I will never ever write a song for any girl like you again becaused you will sjust backstab meand.... oh, sorry. It's a great tune though. The refrain has these big dimunitions of six eight over four four, and I swear, this will be our smash hit! Our smash hit! And you are the first ones to hear it!" - Dewey

    Lyrics
    D:
I met a girl today at north county fair
The smell of cinnabons ran wild through her hair.
she goes to Carnegie Mellon over there…
me, I go to Irvine, but who really cares?

    B:
I think I will make a gift for that girl. I will write her a sweet little song . I’ll
put in some drums and some smashing
    keyboards and it’ll
    prob’ly be three minutes long.
    I
DB: told her I would, and she said it’d be great and we’ll meet at the Millenium Ball.
Should my lyrics talk about how good she smells or
Should they make no sense at all?

December thirty first is my LUCKY NIGHT
Here’s my song, Here’s my song, Here’s my song
    Just for you.
But you have a boyfriend ON YOUR ARM
I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!
I just want to go home, since

    D:
I’d rather be with my dear momma and my
dad when two thousand arrives, then
watch you kiss him for a minute or two
Or perhaps for the rest of your lives.

    DB:
I let my big sister listen to my tune and
Asked if there was something wrong,. She said
“these lyrics just make no sense at all
and why did you sustain that note so long?"

December thirty first was an unLUCKY NIGHT
Here’s my song, Here’s my song, Here’s my song
    Just for you.
‘Cause you had a boyfriend ON YOUR ARM
I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!
I wanted to go home, since

    B:
I’d rather be with my dear momma and my
dad when two thousand arrives, then
    DB:
watch you kiss him for a minute or two
Or perhaps for the rest of your lives.
