	Story Behind the Song Me and my girlfriend broke up, and we stayed best friends. It was a hard thing for me to accept, so i wrote a song trying to express how i felt. It only took a couple minutes to write, but it took a little longer than usual to record to hit the right notes. I probably did 4 or 5 takes on the vocals. Lyrics I woke up this morning feeling kind of ill, my mind all distorted with pain that could kill I’m still kind of sleepy, I wish I could lay in your arms again, just for one more day If I could turn the hands of time back, I would be there for every moment, and you know that I would not lie And I am sorry that I can’t be your friend through this, I just can’t stand to see you there without me I slept past sunrise, and straight until it fell, I’d still be dreaming but I had the urge to yell And even now I’m lonely, with my mom on the phone, I just can’t be happy when I’m all alone I am so sorry I have to feel this way
