Dirty 'blues' guitar riffs driven by a hard baseline and backed by the trusty drum machine with The Rev.0lution himself spontaneously throwing down. |

Story Behind the Song
The Reverend and his desciples Aaron Smith and Marc Davis needed a tune to put on the air (KGLT-Bozeman) that night, the gear was hooked up, the beer was flowin', the room was hazy, I opened the bible to Psalm 69 and everything got crazy;)
Lyrics
Psalm LXIX
Save me, the waters have risen to my neck
I sink in the muddy depths, there is no foothold
I’ve come to deep water, flood sweeps me away
I’m exhausted with crying, my throat is sore
My eyes are worn out waiting for god
Those who hate me are more than I can count
My prosecutors are strong, my foes are treacherous
How can I restore what I have not stolen
I dare not show my face for shame
Stranger to my brother, alien to my mothers sons
Your house has consumed me
I wept bitterly while I fasted and exposed myself
Those at the gate gossip about me
I am the theme of drunken songs
I looked for consolation but received none
How can I restore what I have not stolen
They put poison in my food
They gave me vinegar to drink
Let the burning anger overtake them
Multiply the torments of those you’ve wounded
Grant them no vindication
Blot them out from the book of the living
Let them not be enrolled among the innocent
How can I restore what I have not stolen
