	Story Behind the Song I got bogged down trying to compose works that became too involved. I also was running out of ideas. So I went through a phase of study. As part of this I began composing short piano solo works; usually more than a minute long, and under 5 minutes. In this way, I could keep my ideas short, and squeeze them into a small space. The Cut Short series was somewhat like this. But I began to realize that titling a song Cut Short 37 (sometime in the future!!) might be confusing to the listener and myself as far as trying to remember it. So I am stopping the Cut Short series and am beginning a "Studies" series. The first 10 pieces will be called Green. If I get to number 11, I will give it either another color name or something else. This will keep everything in neat piles of 10.
