Another great alternate version song. This version differs from the "En Route" CD release, substituting a lead viola for electric guitar, creating an unusual latin/classical pairing. It's to be included in an upcoming mp3.com release.

    Story Behind the Song
Recorded at the same time as the original version, included on the "En Route" CD release, this take has John Madison on viola (who at the time was with the Toledo Symphony and performed with many major touring performers passing through the Detroit area).

Plans are to release this version in an mp3.com CD, with other rare unreleased Johnny Z versions of previously released songs and some entirely new songs. Until then it is only available here for streaming, and at http://www.players-server.com/link.asp?Link=6&ArtID=vrf676 in download form.

    Lyrics
I want to cha-cha, but not alone
I Want to cha-cha, but not alone
He says, no sense in wasting time
You can't slow dance and feel alive

I want to cha-cha, but not alone
I want to cha-cha, but not alone
Odd man, romance left him aside
    He can freelance again tonight

He doesn't want to, it's not his style
He wants it to be new a longer while

I want to cha-cha, but not alone
I want to cha-cha, but not alone
Odd man, romance left him aside
    He can freelance again tonight
