    Story Behind the Song
    This track was recorded "live" in the studio with only vocal overdub. The two guitars play an interlocking, open string, harmonizing lick.

    There's a moment in a relationship where it can go forward, or retreat -- but if you pass that point, it's like the parking garage where you CAN'T back up without severe tire damage! This song is about that moment.

    Lyrics
    Could we walk away?
    After just one kiss
    Would it be enough?
    Just a touch of the lips
    And close our eyes
    to the world around
    after just one kiss.

    Could we turn our backs?
    After one sweet night
    Would it be the same
    Just a casual thing.
    And turn a deaf ear
    to the voices we'd hear
    after one sweet night.

    If you touch my hand
    and then I draw you near;
    Once we've heard
    the quiet whispers of love in our ears.
    Given all we know,
    if we cross that line --
    Are we worldly wise
    or only fools of the worst kind?

    But if you you touch my hand...
    and then I draw you near;
    Soon we'll hear
    the quiet whispers of love in our ears...
    And if we pass this chance
    to savor that sweet wine...
    Oh, are we worldly wise
    or only fools of the worst kind?

    ...Could we walk away?
