	Story Behind the Song One day I realized how much I'd taken God's nature for granted. The fact that He is love, and not something else, is pretty significant to our well-being and hope for eternal life. Lyrics (v.1) It's all headed toward wherever God says Though sometimes it seems like evil has won. Sinners and Saints and Satan himself Have no say in the final outcome. (bridge 1) And since there's a God who is in control There something about him that's nice to know... (chorus) Of all the things God might have been Of all the things that might have sparked creation I'm so glad that it turns out That love is God's foundation. He could have been hate. He could have been greed. Just think where that would have put us. Instead the maker is made of love And that can only be good for us. Of all the things God might have been Love is why he will win. (v.2) We can all taste of how it will be. With love as our guide we'll sample God's best. If love is the thing that wins in the end Why face our life with anything less?
