Story Behind the Song
check www.samahmusic.com for more info on Rachel............ coming soon............ stay tuned............... Here's a short article written about Rachel recently....
You'll remember the first time you heard Rachel Zamstein, because when you come across a young talent destined for great things, it's not an opinion - it's an undeniable fact. The heat you feel generated is more than youthful exuberance - it's a burning passion.
Rachel's amazing voice combines the chops and technical proficiency of artists like Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake with a rougher, heartfelt edge like Janis Joplin or John Lennon. Her wide spectrum of influences range from the Beatles to Ani Difranco, from Middle Eastern music to Folk, Pop and R & B. In addition to being able to sing her butt off, Rachel's a talented songwriter and lyricist. Composing since the age of thirteen, her songs reflect her eclectic tastes and influences as well as a disarming mix of teenage angst and wise-beyond-her-years introspective reflection. If this wasn't enough Rachel is also a natural performer who knows how to command the stage and entertain an audience.
It's hard to believe that it was only late last year that Rachel entered a professional recording studio for the first time. Working closely with producer Rock Wilk of Samah Productions, they crafted a variety of tracks to showcase her combined talents and announce to the world with conviction that a major new artist has arrived.
With hints of Jazz, Pop, R & B, Rock and more, what you hear most in these songs is that Rachel Zamstein will be around for a long time to come.
