My first song using a guest vocalist. A real guitar rocker! |

Story Behind the Song
This song was put together over the Internet, swapping files back and forth. I met Iggy Taylor on the John Lennon Songwriting Contest's forum, and we decided to combine our talents on a few songs. Proof that long-distance collaborations CAN work.
Lyrics
Been with you, seems like forever.
Thought you were mine, come whatever.
What we have can't be denied.
Bodies in heat, electrified.
Had to go, said I'd be right back.
No idea I was so off-track.
Look in your eyes as I was leaving,
Told me sure you were deceiving.
Chorus:
You failed the test of time.
Your love turned on a dime.
You failed the test of time.
Proof that you never were mine.
You failed the test of time.
Your love turned on a dime.
You failed the test of time.
Proof that you never were mine.
You failed the test of time.
Lately I'd seen your eyes wander.
Ready for rain, 'cause I hear the thunder.
Signs were clear, you getting restless.
Storm's a'coming, better be cautious.
Chorus (repeat and fade):
You failed the test of time.
Your love turned on a dime.
You failed the test of time.
Proof that you never were mine.
