Great synth work, very melodic with a refreshingly distorted bassline. Instead of the typical 4/4 quater note kick, it kicks on: and one, and two, and three...Kinda hip hop pattern and it works well. Lots of stuff going on, then the chorus of synths hit and it's pretty nice. The last thirty secs let it all loose and it's pretty interesting. The vocals are minimalist but consist of a man's low whisperish chanting almost. He's in pretty good tune and contributes pretty well to the song, it adds a little contrast to the heavy synth work, which make room for the vocal when it comes in for just a couple verses. Fun song, sounds professional and the tune's catchy.

    Story Behind the Song
The chords were put together in a weeks time. THe production about three days, and vocals in an hour. Written on 10/19/03 about the break up of a romance with a ballerina who left him abruptly and to dance professionally. She left him four years ago but he writes about her in all his songs. The lyrics are "I'm hurting little girl, to keep her by my face, there's nothing in this world, nothing I would, to save me from disgrace." He's implying that his inability to accept his loss is troubling to this 'little girl', being both his former lover and future women who come into his life and can't compete with what he had with his ex. In 'nothing I would do', he's talking about his hopelessness and lack of options to change his situation, in that he's tried most everything to get her back. In 'save me from disgrace', he's talking about being left without pride always thinking of a woman who's probably with a man who could never love her as he did. His self worth is connected to being loved by his ex, without that, he faces disgrace by himself, other women who find out his obsession, and men who are or have dated his ex. He's alone, bitter, angry, desperate for her acknowledgement, and still very much in love with her.

    Lyrics
    I'm hurting little girl,
to keep her by my face,
    there's nothing I would do,
    to save me from disgrace.
