"Apparent distictions among things exist only in our minds. In the sky there is no distinction between East and West. People create such distinctions and then believe them to be true. We do the same in every day life, making distinctions, such as us and them, where none exist, and then believe them to be real...to be real...to be real..."

Story Behind the Song
Invisible Enemies:
The first verse is very abstract but it has an underlining theme. It is similar to a John Pollock painting in that the words paint a picture of constantly moving states from peace (serenity grips me) to insanity (like a type of insanity.) This verse can be interpreted as the madness of the human mind and how we associate with it's constantly changing states. It is only when we step out of the mind that we can see who we truly are and have space to concern ourselves with others. Trapped in the mind we are victims of our past conditioning.
The second verse is about the destruction of other cultures through the use of military might under the heading of civilization, God, liberation etc. The line "I sentence you to death by the power vested in me." Refers to just that. How we decide who dies, mostly innocents, by powers that we have created and attached to ourselves.
The third verse is a blatant appeal for a more peaceful world. Questioning the sorrow we cause ourselves and asking the eternal question: Why? and to what ends?
Lyrics
First Verse:
Serenity grips me like a type of insanity / Galaxies form within me ironically grabbing me / Intoxications of infinity eternally wooing me / Death in front of me stealthily creeping consistently / Constantly my tragedy's at the edge of this reality / Sanity slips right by me as I flee from this calamity / Affinity in my memory leaves me finally blindly / My strategy keeps on harming me constantly, constantly / Definitely my mentality leaves me baffled breathing heavily / And my master's mastery has left this here vicinity / Magically my misery creeps defiantly free / Screaming like daemons hidden in the stage of their delivery / Babies instantly delve majestically magically / Metaphorically they have met their nomadic faculty / Literally living in a state of total misery / Lyrically breaking and entering my dreams grabbing me
Chorus:
These invisible enemies lie dormant with rage / Not external but internal is this battle we wage / Must we always search in endless thirst for the cause of this plague? / Or will humanity some day reach a less calamitous stage? / If the killer is inside then why not the cure? / If the problem keeps arising then why not delve more? / Must we always go blind waiting for the sun to rise? / Will we ever realize the compassion we hold inside?
Second Verse
Colonization of different people that have lived here for years / A trail we define as a one filled with tears / We put natives in a coffin then study their common remains / Analyze their prophecies and categorize their time frame / We force a culture to extinction that now faces execution / Then hold exhibitions in the Los Angeles Natural History Museum / In schools we teach children the way people used to live / Not caring about them when they're alive just the stories we can give / Trying to anticipate such a fate of hate you could not fathom / We glamorize indigenous after we turn them to cadaverous / But we are living a lie believing we are nobility / Consequently we will face the same horrible destiny / We convince the world of our own spiritual divinity / "I sentence you to death by the powers vested in me" / Invested in horror and sent over our soldier / Red rover red rover please send peace right over...
Chorus:
Third Verse:
Too many children dying so much pain it's not surprising / Time to lift our eyelids begin the process of realizing / Otherwise it will happen human beings turned to victims / Or murderers of a species there really isn't much difference / What's the significance of a life if we don't bless one another / No one is free when others are oppressed my brothers / Every baby has a mother every soldier cries inside / Every grandpa holds a place for all those he left behind / Every culture has a story I guess we misread the signs / Every body struggles in this dream that we call life / Every child has a vision whether here or cross the seas / Why is it that we live in such a state of misery? / Unmanageable sorrow, Inexpressible malady / Unimaginable tomorrow, susceptible to tragedy / Strategies of stories that glorify all the lies / Melodies of memories that distort fragile minds / Fantasies of a world we all scream to the sky / "No more pain, no more tears, no more heart ache inside." / "No more wars, no more slaughters, no more killing our daughters." / No more guns, no more bombs, no more planes to hide the sun / One day we will see the true dream coming true / When the smoke filled skies shine their blue right through...
