	Story Behind the Song Retrospectively, a wrong relationship can really ruin your day, week, month, year, decade... and sometimes the only thing that stands between your dream of this love and the reality of it is a little time. I wrote the first 3 verses in London at the start of a relationship and the final verse in Sydney a lifetime later... Lyrics He sleeps at my side and I listen to him breathe Deep down in his belly where discontent breeds He sleeps at my side and I feel his warmth Like a slow burning furnace in the distant dawn I feel his weight and I feel his love As his mind dreams on and he lingers above I know I care so much for this man And I'm trying to trust him just as much as I can... this love I feel his hand caress my hips As he moves in his sleep just a little bit His skin almost feels a part of me There is nothing wrong, no loss of dignity He's fast asleep but I can see his eyes They're such a glorious colour like a green sunrise And they're shining with curiosity And friendliness as they look at me... this love I curl my toes under his feet And he makes them welcome even in his sleep He pulls me closer as he shifts his weight And I'm feeling special like I'm part of fate Feeling the length and breadth of his back So smooth, supple, made to attract There's something here for me in this man And I know I love him just as much as I can... this love So the years fly by and what do we see Two bodies together for eternity?
