Story Behind the Song
I was actually inspired to write this song because of Dixie Lewellyn, who is a prominent member of the artist online community along with her husband Les. (ManicD) She is suffering with autoimmune hepititis and there is a site dedicated to helping her with extensive hospital bills at www.zomala.com.
Lyrics
How long must we go on fighting for the things we know are right?
Hunting down and slaying dragons in the cold and restless night.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.
We must take each emotion,
Each unique experience,
And weave them all together,
Hoping that it all makes sense.
Slowly the picture is forming,
On life's tapestry
Each day, each brand new moment,
Woven in for us to see.
Sometimes life feels like banging on a row of closed doors.
Not a single door opens, until I come to yours.
It's then when I realise that someone out there cares.
All I need is a single candle,
Your flame is enough to light the way.
We must take each emotion,
Each unique experience,
And weave them all together,
Hoping that it all makes sense.
Slowly the picture is forming,
On life's tapestry.
Each day, each brand new moment,
Woven in for us to see.
You're weaving.
You're weaving.
Your flame is enough to light the way.
