	Story Behind the Song The movie was "Shanghai Dreams," but it makes me think of Hong Kong as well. Hong Kong has a very large ex Shanghai population, a legacy from previous decades of immigration, and it was one of the first Chinese movies I ever saw. It was lovely for both the epic and touching story, beautiful photography, and of course the music, especially the memorable theme song with such a beautiful melody. See the movie! A friend reminded me of the song in the Balkans, and I remembered again how lovely the melody was. I recorded it for fun in Macedonia in April 2000, shortly before returning to Hong Kong. I hope people remember the melody, see the movie, and like a simple guitar arrangement of a lovely song.
