Around 2000 years ago, a man named Jesus Christ walked the same earth we walked today. He gave his life so that each one of us could have the opportunity of eternal life with him in Heaven. The pain that he endured was simply unimaginable. He could have walked away, but he chose to walk on towards the cross, where he would bear our sin and shame.
    CD: The Path

    Story Behind the Song
This song was written in traditional Frequency 4:17 fashion: music then lyrics. This is a very emotional song, both in the words and the music. It took about 2 weeks to complete the lyrics. The basic music took a couple of hours. We wanted to really challenge those who hear this song to think about the pain that Christ endured for us, who are not evey worthy to receive the gift that he gave on that cross.

    Lyrics
    As the blood fell
    and the crowd yelled
    What went through your head?
    So defeated and mistreated
    you were left for dead

As you walked by and looked in their eyes
    what did you see there?
    True reflections of rejection
and the sins you were to bear

    Pre chorus:
    but you walked on anyway
To the price you had to pay
for my sins, my shame, my guilt, and my blame

    Chorus:
Can you feel the pain he felt that day?
Was it real; the blood that washed my sins away?

    Verse 2:
    As you hung there
    death was now near
    it would soon be done
    But on the third day
    in a cold grave
    your will would overcome

    PreChorus
    Chorus

    Bridge:
    Not for a second
did you ever think of turning away
    You took my transgressions
    and threw them away

    Chorus 2x
