"Giving Monkeys Typewriters" | genre: Emo | |
formerly known as "delay song", i gave it a cunning title after working on it. dont worry i'd never write LYICS with the word "monkey" in them. i spose i'd write them about how giving life to humans is giving typewriters to monkeys. think about it... it'd be too emo for me to explain. not quite finished yet, but as far as i can get for a couple of weeks so in case anyone wants to listen, please do so. thank you kindly. |

Story Behind the Song
my digitech RP300 inspired this song. i turned on 2 second delay and effed around and wound up with something mildly pretty. then i recorded that and played the chord progression you hear throughout to give it a different context and i thought "wow, thats great man... cuz you think its one thing but then it turns into this other thing... yeah, wick" ... yeah, fooling around with contexts is fun. well yeah, so thats basically how the basis for the song came about. i made a midi of it at one point and it had a sea in the background at one part, and there was a strings interlude. hahahahahahahahah. anyways, its not done yet (though its 6 minutes... i know i know, im sorry, but i just cant cram all my ideas into a normal length song and have it not just be a completely linear piece, then i'd never write lyrics, ever.) expect solo, and you can even expect lyrics. just dont expect them anytime SOON.
