A new and improved version of an old song. Best described as someone else did, "Not too dark, not a little dark, but perfectly dark." |

Story Behind the Song
Old song, written a couple years ago, basic idea and lyrics were worth re-writing some the the instrumental parts. I'm very happy with this. I think it's my best song ever (it should be if I'm still working on it).
Lyrics
Green skin clawed to shreds
Black eyes in her head
Hears a whisper in the air
Telling her that someone's there
Take a breath, inhale a sip
The blood drips off your fingertips
Broken glass and shards of stone
Crimson pools and bits of bone
You'll go on, but only alone
You're half way to hell
A long way from home
Pale skin stained with red
Black and blue all on her legs
Feels a chill upon her flesh
Cherry stains her cobalt dress
Hears a scream escape her lips
The blood drips off your fingertips
Broken, blah-dy blah
Broken glass and shards of stone
Crimson pools and bits of bone
All pave the path to your own home
Swallow it down, your cover's blown
Escapes a whisper in a rage
Watch my breath, you will obey
Inhale a breath and take a sip
The blood drips off your fingertips
The liquied glows, it's strong and thick
So drink it down and do it quick
Broken glass and the likes
You're one step from hell
You're one step from home
