I guess simply it's a song about what happens to lots of "spoiled" little girls that never grow up... More complex, for whatever reason I see an apathy of sorts amongst people born from say 1983 to 1993, so the 20 to 30 year olds as of 2003 this is for some of you; don't be in a tizzy, it's eitehr you or someone you know, you know it is! |
Credits: Bill penned, and Robbie stole the whole thing, see below.. |
Story Behind the Song
I actually tried to sing this myself, and it doesn't compare to Robbie's rendition with his music. It's his now. Perfect Song for the Cheese man to sing too; the "middle 8" is nice and high, and mine dogged compared to his; Enjoy it...
Lyrics
You only wanted a little instead of wanting a lot
You were afraid to be grateful and say thanks a lot
You were taught to aspire only a little bit
So when you hit the big time it really felt like the pit
It doesn't have to continue, only as long as you say so
It doesn't have to continue, no not even today not
You said you'd been on the road so far from home so alone so far from home so alone
But your daddy's credit card takes you from here to Mars and back again, right back home
And now your walking the beam or so it seems yeah you're walking the beam and now your in between jobs again, right back home yeah right back home
Repeat the first part and that's the song..., but adding Please let go a bunch to fade is best...
