	Story Behind the Song I was telling my friend Scott DiSpirito about how I'd stay in my room for hours playing my guitar as a teenager, and not want to come out even to eat. He said I should write a song called, "A Day in My Cave." The rest is history... In its place on the American Road album, the songs conveys an isolated feeling of being in a rut. (The rest of the album works towards lifting out of this rut).
