Story Behind the Song
I was once in a deep state of sorrow. I was overtaken by the pain inside. It became my identity. I then picked up the book THE POWER OF NOW and realized the way the pain operates and how to become conscience of it. Once I became consience it was only a matter of time before the pain disolved. I now realize that we all suffer the same and the same consciesness disolves it. I wish for everyone to be free of pain...
The last verse however speaks about the pain suffered by black kids growing up in the ghettos of L.A. How they must face such pain having seen their parents fall to this society in one way or another...Also how rich kids attempt to drown their feelins of emptiness in a bottle and attempt to live like gangsters in order to have an identity when in fact all it leads to is more pain...(I attempted this route. As did my cousin, whom I love, Oren Kattan.) Once again, I wish for EVERYONE to be free of pain...
Lyrics
Verse1
I feel empty inside caged from rides of minds blazing in my eyes in time changes all before fires a raising hells upon distance I missed this
It's in me to represent real pain
Lost in oblivion with no one to blame
Growing up with no concept of consequence
Scared for life in this sequence
Inside this beyond ryhtms and lies
Broken ashes can't stop the Titans crashes
Bashes of reformation of human thesis
In this cage suffocating losing feeling
Breath of Fire I'm breathing...
Where's the justice?
Music heals for five minutes but I can't block out the fuckin' hisses, the fuckin' hisses, the fuckin' hisses...
Verse2
I've been through hell and back
Holding out screaming attack
Bottling anger in beer bottles
Lost in space without culture
Inside you deamons before sleep, they creep
The hell that surrounds this game that we play in
Minds of surviving beasts left astray
And jungles technologicaly advanced in deserts thirsting for blood without a chance
Dead spirits rise at night by the river
And drugs stores on corners make kid's liquor sicker
And gun shots go blasting in this world of destruction when emotions are rising
Left in the cold when your daddy died
Overdoses of cocaine that strain the brain
Heroin of cosmic proportions and rain
in the Pain of lost souls in the night
Broken hearts left in pieces like glaciers of ice...
Drug deals in the ghetto
Rich kids drinking Ameretto to distill the pain left instilled in their heart,
Some sort of anger that's hard to excavate fall off education and humiliated by fate
Picked up guns to pull out for purpose of image, not understanding the calamity or the damage
No more thinking in the grave of destruction
"Where's my son, why's he gone?" mom is asking
The cops come to her house to explain of the pain, they try to give this fuckin' reality a name...
