Flight of the Phoenix is a tune that has an overall sense of flying, especially in the middle section. The tune was also somewhat inspired by fire or flames, so the idea of the Phoenix came to be. From there, we put some jammin grooves and licks together with tracked 'electronica' sounding stuff, and this is what you've got!

Story Behind the Song
The 'back story' behind Flight of the Phoenix, originally titled 'Inferno' - the tune was conceptualized and written in a free piece of software called ModPlug Tracker by Christofori. His inspiration, oddly enough, was an electronic cigarette lighter; just the clicking sound it made, in a certain rhythm, got his mind turning furiously. Eventually, Christofori spent a few hours, and came up with some segments that, when put together, formed the song. It was planned to have two main sections which repeated, and then a bridge of some sort; and eventually an ending. The ride to that point was a great one; the bandmembers listened in at various times as Christofori madly spun samples together to form the tapestry of what is today known as the Flight of the Phoenix.
