	Ever wonder what it's like to be a young composer in America today? This interview which took place on May 25th, 2003 was conducted by Dr. Jon Kulp - professor of music at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Jonathan has started conducting interviews of various contemporary composers that he talks about in his classes so his students can hear about this music from the composers themselves. I was flattered that he asked me to do an interview, and these are excerpts from that interview, which I will post various sections of on a rotating basis. In this installment, I discuss my piece "Eleven", as well as musical languages in today's musical world.
