Story Behind the Song
Wrote this song in April of 2003. Thought I'd try out some various mixing of acoustic and electric.
Lyrics
Intro:
The social auditorium is packed full of people waiting for the show.
And here in the center I can barely stand – drunk, wet, naked, freezing cold.
All the fans are laughing at me; all the stage is full of greed.
10,000 waiting faces staring right through my soul.
But they don’t know, the reasons I can’t go back anymore.
Verse I:
I’m looking for life that I know isn’t visible, waiting for the right time to choose my moves.
Washing my hands from the thoughts indivisible, wish I had water wish I had you.
I’m sure I won’t make it, I don’t know if I’m breaking and I’m really god damn tired of living for the sake of it.
I’d like to take advantage of you just once in a while.
Bridge I:
Bring me knowledge, even if it’s lies I’ll feel alright.
Write me something, you can plagiarize, you can find the time.
A little small talk could make me feel like I am not someone that - you should hide.
Verse II:
Oh, and here I am.
Oh, I am nowhere.
So how do you feel, does it feel good and are you sympathetic?
Do you make yourself time to forget that you had never been so…
Bridge II:
Bring me knowledge, even if it’s lies I’ll feel alright.
Write me something, you can plagiarize, you can find the time.
A little small talk could make me feel like I belong to something.
That’s part of your world, you could make me feel so high.
Chorus:
Oh, All the pretty boys for conversation’s noise and you seem proud so play.
Oh, I can tell you’re fine you’re out of sight and mind and that’s where you should stay.
So how does it feel?
Verse III:
I’m looking for life that I know isn’t visible, waiting for the right time to choose my moves.
Washing my hands from the thoughts indivisible, wish I had water wish I had you.
Chorus
