An anthemic, fast hitting, rock song. A demo recorded in my basement. Written just a few months ago.

Story Behind the Song
This song was inspired by a Neil Young biography. The reason behind this is because Neil Young is a musician and a songwriter who hated school as much as I do, and only wanted to play music. With this, he stood up for what he wanted, dropped out of school, and has continued to play the music he loves.
At the time of my reading this book, I very much did not want to return to school for my junior year. I wanted to record my music and work at getting a record deal only. Well, I'm now in my junior year, recording my music, and working at getting a record deal. So I got what I wanted, but needless to say, I'm still in school and don't plan on droping out.
The song talks about how bad I want to escape from the trappings of school (for me anyway) and go out on my own, and do things "my own way".
Simple as that.
Enjoy.
Lyrics
My Own Way
There's no other way
And there'll be no other day
The path I've chosen is clear
And I won't let anyone stand in my way
I've got my focus in
And I've got ambitions drive
I've got the way of the day
To set me free, and let me be
(Pre-Chorus)
I don't need you to tell me
That you don't see things my way
I know you'll see my way someday
(Chorus)
I can feel it in my heart
And I need to, set myself free from this
Holding me back from my dreams
No more
You can say what you want to say
And I don't want to hear it anyway
You know
I'll just go my own way
I'll go through all the hard times
And all the things I have to
To make and live my life
The way that I want to!
