	Story Behind the Song I myself am a city kid. I was born in the city (Malden, Mass.), spent my first 11 years in the city, and love every second that I get to go back there. I've always wanted to capture the feeling I get when I visit the city, and what it's like to me. Even though I've written one song specifically about the city, I wasn't sure how to put it to music and make it a real story. The song ends up being about a father waking up in the morning to go to work (in the city of course, lol) and he looks around and notices that everyone around him is asleep. Then he notices his daughter sleeping, and wants to tell her how much he'll miss her through-out the day. So instead of waking her up to tell her, he writes a note and leaves it on the table for her to read when she wakes up. The lyrics to the song end up being the note that she reads when she wakes up. The song was written and recorded by me. The instruments are Vocals, an Electric/Acoustic guitar, an Electric/Acoustic guitar sent through a bass simulator, and some orchestrations in the background. It's really a sweet song and I absolutely love playing it. I hope you enjoy it!
