Story Behind the Song
The first song I ever wrote way back in '95 or '96, I can't really remember. I showed it to some of my friends and the root of The Turnstyles was formed.
Lyrics
VERSE 1:
You've got subtle moral poisons for all the girls and boys,
And pro-life or pro-choice which aint no choice at all,
You've got fast food generation learning textbook masturbation,
From leftist administrations waiting for the world to fall,
You've got famine at your leisure you've got pills for every pleasure,
Processed placental grease for that perfect head of hair,
So no one's forced to read about another damn disease,
That only kills off all the sleaze but still causes quite a scare,
CHORUS:
Struggling along nither right or wrong,
Until the night is gone and i can sleep again,
Feel so bad for you I'm trying to get through,
To what you think is the truth my deluded friend,
When I look around catastrophe abounds,
My poor head starts to pound and I need my bed,
But still continue on nither right or wrong Until the night is gone,
BRIDGE:
Don't wanna hear your thoughts all those philosophies you got,
'bout some new song you think is hot by a band I think is gay,
Your generations dreamless wont you tell me what you mean that the establishment demeans you can't believe a word you say,
OH YEAH
