	This is a very straightforward song about missing someone. Either someone far from you or someone that may have passed on. I didn't want to be vague or poetic, just real. I tried to grab hold of what it feels like to be alone.

	Story Behind the Song The motivation for the song was very simple. I wanted to write a simple song about missing my girlfriend and I was inspired about doing that by a Shaun Groves tune. The song came out very quickly, only a matter of minutes before the melody and progression was complete. The lyrics took a few tries and I wrote the bridge a week later. A few harmony ideas were added in during the recording process which only took about 6 hours. Thanks to Sam Tesh of Vinyl Deluxe for some great backing vocals. Why'd you go away. Its not okay to say that life's not fair because you're not here. Oh, it won't work this way I want more than just okay. Oh what I'd give for just one day, Another chance to see your perfect face. I grow numb without your touch.
