	Story Behind the Song Written during the summer of 1999, soon after I arrived in Macedonia. It has a sort of classic folk song structure, with each verse telling of a person's loss due to war, each loss more intimate. I felt the electric guitars added a kind of Neil Young-ish quality to the sound, and of course it would be a different song if I'd never heard Peter Gabriel's "Dancing With the Moonlit Knight" (about a thousand times!)
