Story Behind the Song
My brother and his mates used to surf heaps a couple of years ago, so I penned a couple of verses and the song grew from there. Have you heard of Bells Beach or Jan Juc? (They're both famous surfing spots Down Under.) The location mentioned in the song, Torquay ("tor-key"), is right next door.
This song is our tribute to surfin' life in the land where the kangaroo roams free.
