Written about knowing when you've found the one. The intro guitar riff is about as catchy as they get and provides the hook through out the tune. The lyrics and the melody bounce around as does the song. When the chorus kicks in, you can't help but sing along. Maybe after you hear this one, you'll stop soul-searching too.

    Story Behind the Song
The song was written in two phases. It started with Mileen noodling around on his acoustic one day and stumbling upon the opening riff. Knowing that he had the song's foundation, he added the remainder of the chords and progressions to come up with the musical skeleton (all while Seth was away in London). Upon returning, Seth added the melody and lyrics based on what he was feeling at the times before he left for the UK, while he was there, and when he returned.

While in the studio, the song was written, but still had no name. Upon hearing the first lyrical line, one of the band members suggested playing around with the phrase "Ice Cream Sundae" to come up with something different. You can hear the play on words at the end of the song as both Seth and Alex pan back and forth with each other.

Originally intended to be an acoustic-only song, the group recorded the song in a "band" format as time in the studio was very limited.

    Lyrics
    On Tuesday you said,
"Let's meet on Friday for a Sundae"
The corner is where I stood
With a red rose in my hand and a letter from a "#1 Fan"
You blushed when you realized I printed it out
You said you were drunk when you e-mailed it to me
But I still haven't figured you out...

    I guess that you're alright
You surely are such a beautiful sight
The people passing by just stop --
They look at you, they look at me and sigh, they sigh
That they're not getting a table for two
By the street, a candle and a view with you.... With you....

One month has passed since I woke up and realized how I need you
I see you in these dreams or at a party, a bar,
or in the by-line of the cool magazine
    You say that you're not ready for anything serious;
Neither am I, I said, "so we'll play it cool, stop right at a good-night kiss"

But that got old really quick...
The thought of being without you was making me sick
The people passing by just stopped and listened to you as you said out loud
    In a crowd....
"I want all of you to know. He's the one for me so the answer is NO."

I know that I have been soul searching.
But this is where I stop, I don't need to look for something I already found
And if you'd like to join me at the café on Sunday night...
    You know where I'll be.
    Just where you'll be.

But before we started, I had to go to London...
    I had some business there....
I left you alone in a wintry breeze...
You said that you'd wait for me, that everything would be alright...
    And when I got back...
You met me on the town... On the town, oh, a view with you....

Just Tuesday you said, "Let's meet on Friday for a Sundae,"
The corner's where I stood, a dozen roses in my hand
Waited for you by the quick-lunch stand
Got a bite to eat and a Bonmbay & Tonic on ice
Threw 'em down real quick - got another, and another...
Stumbled home through the thickening ice...

We went home the usual way...
Seems no-one ever gets in our way...
The people passing by just stop and listen to you as you said out loud
    In a Cloud...
"I want all of you to know, he's the one for me so the answer is No!"

I know that I have been soul searching
But this is where I stop, I don't need to look for something I already found
And if you'd like to join me at the café on Sunday night...
    You know where I'll be
    Just where you'll be

On the town... On the town, oh with a view with you....

    I scream [You scream sunday]
    I scream [You scream Sunday]
    I scream [You scream Sunday]
    Ice Cream, You scream sundae
