Story Behind the Song
The song was actually made late one night when Brandon had found out that a girl he was chillen with wasn't exactly what he thought she was (in a very bad way). So, he wrote this emotional song about the girl. The way that the song was written, was mainly influenced by Brand New. We had Steve sing a sentence, and then Justin would finish it off... and then the vocals and the screams just set off for the hard emo ending.
Lyrics
Your lips are like poison,
In a cup,
And I am a suicidal man,
Looking for an easy way out,
But I can not seem to understand although I know it is just poison,
It seems so right to me
(right to me)
If my heart was a bomb,
I would soak my fuse in karocine,
And hand you the match to light my life,
For that one second,
And then leave me to explode I'm gonna leave this world,
I just thought you should know
(you should know)
It seems so right to me
Your oblivious to see,
Your lies are like poetry,
My hearts wide open,
And it's exposed to you,
There is one thing that you should know,
I will never let you down,
If your life was on the line,
I would try to save yours by sacrificing mine,
My hearts yours, yours to keep,
My heart is your, it's yours to keep,
