A kinda Euro-style synthpop song, inspired by Beborn Beton. Only with a chick singing . . . or something. Very moody and ambient, with a slight pinch of funkiness thrown in.
CD: the forthcoming "mysterious girl EP"   Label: none
Credits: Programmed by DJ K8T; Vocals by K. Blame

    Story Behind the Song
I listen to synthpop. No, scratch that - I listen to WAY too much synthpop for my own good. Apoptygma, VNV, Beborn Beton, Wolfsheim - but I'm in America, where the market for it is all too limited.

Regardless of that, the genre has inspired me (along with the novelization of "The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood") to write. Anyone that says that women can't do a good synthpop song NEED to hear this track. Let me prove you wrong!

    Lyrics
Time is catching up with me.
There's not enough to go around.
    I'm playing with my fate,
    however unknowingly
it's my turn to close the gate.

But if I falter, if I
    fall away from your grasp.
All I ask is you hold me tight and
    never let me go.

I'm still that daughter of the moon.
Yet I cling to my despair,
for thinking that I've done all I could
    realize you're never there.

    When you came back and
    called my name, repeating loudly.
The only thing I heard was
your desperate need for an instant.

    You caressed my sunburned skin
    like only a lover should.
    Amidst all this mess, my
life has turned into what it would.

I'm still that daughter of the moon.
Yet I cling to my despair,
for thinking that I've done all I could
    realize you're never there.
I recognize the sights and sounds
    although they're new to me.
    Cannot reach solid ground,
it was not meant to be.
