    Story Behind the Song
This song only took a day to record. The vocals took for ever and suck.

Note: At about 3:52 you can here "And you're a station from town". At the same moment I say "town", my digital watch beeps. Doh!

    Lyrics
I had a guarantee for an additional fee
That would leave me with all that matters
But I'm not an athelete worried about the size of my feet
And I've left my birth certificate in tatters

You underestimated my soul, thought I'd need less than whole
You didn't realize I'm not a real man
You're a station from town that I just can't turn down
You don't realize the bandwidth you still span

I wasn't looking for a face, just a humorous little place
Not a cheerleader but a math major
Someone who's mouth was free, not too worried about me
Someone who wouldn't let me cage her

You fit the description so I took the prescription
But now I find the bottle empty
So I need a refill of your addictive little pill
To bring back the fever you sent me

You said to the future you weren't looking so I'd better stop cooking
Up my scheme, up my grand plan
And when you said no future I thought you meant no future
Not with me, not with any other man

But I see the basil upon your window sill
And wonder why the planter's still in tact
Maybe your excuse to me was some desparate little plea
To make sure you always had someone waiting in the back
