Simply beautiful lyrics and melody about love, and hope. The vocals, piano and cello compliment the message in a spectacular way. |

Story Behind the Song
Only Alysson knows what motivated this song, and she's not telling. The recording went smoothly until Robbie Link tried to lay down the cello track. It's in a perfectly awful key for cello--several tries later we called it a day and tried again, some weeks later--it was well worth it! Listen to the spectacular cello he layed down!
Lyrics
I watch the tides
Like maybe you'll return to me
I count the grains of sand
Seconds of my life
Ooh, in my mind
You were like a willow tree
The only shade I could find
Where you wept like my frozen mind
Frozen tears
In my mind, I am falling
Look at where you've left me
Here like an angry wave
A step, a step, they're all steps
And maybe I'll just fly to you
In my mind I am falling
Here I am
When you're a shadow to me
I'll know I dreamed you then
And I'll wish your love away instead
But instead now I hold you fast
In my mind I am falling
Here I am
Open the shell
