A song about a guy who did something to piss off his girl, and she thinks he doesn't care anymore...which is the exact opposite of his real feelings. |
Credits: Written/Arranged by Scott Hannay, recorded/engineered by Scott Hannay, all instruments played/sung/input-into-computer by Scott Hannay, produced by Scott Hannay. It's mine, all mine!! |
Story Behind the Song
The chorus to this song was written in my car on my way to apologize to my girlfriend...it evolved into more later on after I got home. I arranged, recorded, and mastered it the next day in 6 hours.
Lyrics
I saw you today
You were there in all your glory
Somewhere along the way
I messed up; I'm really sorry
Apologies you don't accept
If I can't take this back, then what comes next?
I may just disappear
What do I do if you leave me?
Should I come say that I'm sorry?
You're all I've got, my dear
Now I'm home all alone
Trying to think of what I did so wrong
Wonderin' if i should pick up the phone
And call you up and tell you what I've felt for so long
But apologies you don't accept
If I can't take this back, then what comes next?
I may just disappear
What do I do if you leave me?
Should I come say that I'm sorry?
You're all I've got, my dear
All I want to do
Is to be with you
And I know you think I don't care
But I just want you to know that
All I want to do
Is to be with you
And I don't know how I'll get there
But I just want you to know that
I still care
