	Story Behind the Song About being the sore thumb. The song was written in the basement and at Boston Market where our singer worked. It only took us maybe two hours all together to get this one where we wanted. It was also about two hours to record. It is one of the band's favorites and it seems to be one of the one people will remember. Lyrics -Static- (verse) Being different. being this way being alone leaves me nowhere to run waking up being ashamed you look in the mirror and you don't see your face (pre-chorus) I find a way to get through the day but in the end i feel the same living life while feeling down isn't a reason to hate them all (chorus) Have you ever woke up and wished you hadn't have you ever found life cruel adn emphatic persisting on keeping you down and stuck have you ever found life cruel and static (verse 2) Out on your own. you may find there's nowhere to run and nowhere to hide you wake up in the morning and see yourself wishing you were someone else (pre-chorus 2) Getting even and getting out are two very different things being alone and going away are quite the same. in your mind lies the pain (chorus...same as before) (break) Well fuck you! your don't know, you don't know and it still shows you know where your family sleeps at night, you don't know the pain of a static plight in your mind (end)
