	Story Behind the Song !HERO is a musical and literary re-telling of the life of Jesus Christ posing the pretense – “What if He were born in Bethlehem—Pennsylvania?" Set in early 21st century America, Hero (Jesus) lives out his ministry in present day New York City in a world that hasn't yet seen the Messiah. Created by music industry veteran Eddie DeGarmo (DeGarmo & Key, ForeFront Records founder, EMI), !HERO confronts the audience with what can be described as Jesus Christ Superstar for the MTV generation—centering on the relevance of the Gospel to youth living in a post modern culture. "All of my career has been geared around reaching people with the message of Christ," he says. "I wanted to create a different vehicle for a connection to the gospel. !HERO is that vehicle." What began as a Rock Opera has developed into a multi-media experience of the Gospel story. It will be expressed in a Rock Opera CD album, live performance tour, a novel trilogy, audio books, comics and graphic novel. Through partnerships with Meaux Music, Chordant, and Navpress,!HERO has become a one of the most aggressive and unique product brands to date.
