An Indian proverb which urges people to do good things quickly and delay on bad deeds is the source of this folk-rock song. |

Story Behind the Song
I wanted to put into music the age old wisdom of the Indian proverb. Actually the proverb originates from the Indian epic, Ramayana written by Valmiki. The song was written in Tirana, Albania and recorded there as well.
Lyrics
I went through life losing my way,
making mistakes with each passing day.
Then I stopped and looked around,
and this is what I found:
If you've got something good, do it today.
Gonna do something bad, make a delay.
This is what the wise one's say.
I forgot the good advice and got stuck again.
I found myself in a terrible jam.
Then I listened to a little bird,
And this is what I heard:
If you've got something good, do it today.
Gonna do something bad, make a delay.
This is what the wise one's say.
Another day came and another day went,
I finally learned what the good message meant.
Then I made a fateful choice,
To listen to my inner voice, saying:
If you've got something good, do it today.
Gonna do something bad, make a delay.
This is what the wise one's say.
