Story Behind the Song
Came back from Lancaster, South Carolina to
Atlanta after the funeral for Debbie Holley,
a close friend, who had been suffering from
4 years of cancer and chemotherapy. The grief
I felt was overwhelming. I was dazed. I knew
it would take a long time to feel normal, but
had to try. The only thing that helped was
focusing on music composition, since I couldn't focus on anything else. The images of Debbie in her last days in the cancer ward was the creative abstract for this music. I worked on it non stop over a weekend and then played it over and over until it just about drove my room mate insane. The song is painfully slow structured variation and not something your likely to forget. It plays for over 45 minutes.
