Our whole lives are affected by various types of gravity - keeping us in a certain place, or on a certain course regardless of our efforts to break away. |

Story Behind the Song
This bit of melodic rock develops a bit of an epic feel as it crashes through different time signatures and changing tempos.
ORBIT takes a directional change at around the 2 min 45 sec mark, and will end up a different song than the beginning might lead you to expect.
It began as a radio friendly rock song, but creatively I couldn't see just leaving it as status quo. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Lyrics
Coming 'round and dropping out - spinning 'round and turning in a regular orbit. Starting off from nowhere, starting off from somewhere non-existant - stare into the distance and always returning.
Always going through the motions but never ever learning - with eyes tired and dry and all cried out, and ready to close.
Spinning around - spinning around you...
We refuse to admit we're falling, wanting to believe that we're still flying with the wind all through our hair. There's no controlling this, but with this current I could almost get through...
Coming 'round or dropping out - spinning 'round and turning in a regular orbit. My hands are tired from holding on, I'm not even sure what I've been holding on to or how long I've been here.
Spinning around - spinning around you...
Tidal pools emptied now all pouring back in. No feelings or questions, stories or spin. Too dilute to be certainty collecting again, just ambition and desperation. Frightened to admit it's all come back...
Spinning around - spinning around you...
