Story Behind the Song
With the heat this summer in Europe, short dresses and fine lines on display my mind has been wandering, ... here's some thoughts on a favourite girl.
It was recorded as a short demo in one take before I finished the lyrics. Bass and Harmonica were added on seperate tracks. this version involved just two of the band, Robert and me. Rachael (the bass player was having a long break after wrecking her shoulder in a snowboarding accident), and thea only ever turns up for gigs, (almost). Hopefully she doesn't read these song descriptions, just kidding. Attila was on holiday.
Lyrics
Glide my finger along the seam,
Running down her old blue jeans.
Drown my senses in her hair.
I can pretend that the world's not there.
Like a broken record going on and on,
Its like its stuck on my favourite song.
See her satnding in her short white dress,
Gaze into her eyes she's an enchantress,
She sets my senses in a whirl
I just can't get my thoughts off that girl.
Like a broken record going on and on,
Its like its stuck on my favourite song.
See her dressing in the morning light,
By my bed she's my favourite sight.
She sets my senses in a whirl
I just can't get my thoughts off that girl.
Like a broken record going on and on,
Its like its stuck on my favourite song.
