Not to be confused with the Johnny Cash song of the same name, this is one of my all time favorite country ballads...period. This dates back to 1993 when I was playing piano, organ and singing backing vocals in an all original country band called Gasoline. Alonside Ray Strickland, Billy Pitts, Bruce Smith and David Piper, (of The Georgia Satellites, The Swinging Richards and The Law fame in Atlanta, Ga.) Gasoline was probably the finest band I have ever been in and we came EXTREMELY close to that ever elusive monumental record deal. To this day many feel that we were robbed of fame and fortune..but hey..dats show biz. On this track I play piano, string synthesizer and sing background vocals. |
