Story Behind the Song
I was in a terrible car accident that landed me in a wheelchair for the better part of three years. During my recovery I often fantasized about getting back at the man who hit me. After all, he chose to ignore a red arrow to save three minutes and ended up costing me so much. I really wanted to make him see all that he had taken from me. I felt paralyzed. Should I go right, should I go left, should I scream it out, or should I hold my breath? Where would revenge get me? I decided that my victory was in standing tall and being heard. He didn’t get away with it because I didn’t allow it to consume me and I wrote this song. In time his kind always find their demise.

V1
I see you standin’ there, wonder why I even care
How do you dare?
I should put both my feet down
And scream your deeds all over town.
Pre-chorus But it’s all in vain
For you will never change
Oh no It’s just what you do
I know in time your kind
Always find their demise
You best watch your back with me
Chorus Should I go right
Should I go left
Should I scream it out
Should I hold my breath
I bet you thought I’d let you get away with it
I won’t bend over backwards – get down on my knees
Make you think I’m out to please
I bet you thought I’d let you get away with it
V2
Your sticks and stones broke my bones
But you can’t break my life
I’ve picked up all my pieces
Feel my power as I tower high
Pre-chorus
Chorus
V3
I could become just like you
Give you a taste of what you do
Take you in both of my hands
Shake you make you understand
Chorus
Bridge
Chorus-Vamp out
