Running Lights, much like its sister track from Project Skyline: Midtown, mixes urban grooves, jazz riffs and smooth accompanying synth exemplifying a city as it enters twilight. The hustle and bustle of the day has ended. We enter those brief moments just before nightfall when the city comes alive again. We get lost in ourselves on the roads just dark enough for our Running Lights. |

Story Behind the Song
Project Skyline was originally created for a Sprint Marketing Campaign, which consisted of two pieces - Midtown and Running Lights. Running Lights was developed to portray the smooth jazz of urbania. A perfect tune for driving that would make you tap your hand against the wheel. The piece was created over a few months. It was begun and semi-finished in January and revisited and revised many months later.
