Story Behind the Song
The story is that a lot of artists have no concept of what good art is and they are indeed talented but not exactly original. They've been told their whole life they are going to be great so they have to endure any real problems. They sort of get caught up in themselves and have no touch with reality and think they are godlike. The lyrics portray that type of character. I also wanted to get my bases covered in case people think I get a huge ego...well here, I've already considered that and it may or may not be true.
Lyrics
I got some lines you can quote now.
Check out the words that I wrote down.
See my head, watch it grow.
See my head, about to blow.
I got the skills I got flow.
My lyrics are gold you ought to know.
See my head, watch it grow.
See my head about to blow.
Mother said I was the one.
My ego's about to block the sun.
Mother said I was so smart.
Because I make such beautiful art.
I got a case of megalomania,
I got a case of megalomania,
Built myself up, built myself up.
I got feeling I want to express.
Girls can't take me cuz I'm never impressed.
I got some feelings I want you know,
but the girls don't leave don't me alone,
I just want to say, I'm sailing with the Rock, I'll be back Independence Day, In a mothership, sailing with the rock, I'll be back, I'll be back. And I'll be sitting next to God one day, and I'll be sitting next to God one day, and I'll be sitting next to God one day, yeah.
