Lyrics
If you dream, think of me. Purge me from these nightmares. We wrote this story from the start. Page by page we worked with burning hearts. I asked you what you would do if I ripped off both your finely crafted wings and you replied, "I'd make a pillow to soften your dreams." Take my hand, we'll fly. There's no ceiling in this fairy tale. Bow your head, close your eyes. We'll sleep together if it's the last thing we do. "What big wings you have." "All the better to scoop you up, over bridges and through the woods." But I'd trade it all to say we wrote this story from the heart. Page by page we worked 'til we were torn apart. I asked you if you'd die tonight under blackened skies just to save me. You replied, "My pulse is nothing but a metronome for you from my heart, which beats for you." This landscape is bathed in gunpowder. Set on fire by matches from your skin. If we strike it, what will we find as this story unwinds? What lies before us on the pages of our...fairy tale ending with starry nights, wrapping ourselves in blankets of white velvety snow and drifting away to sleep. Closing your eyes for the last time only to find eternal life, but before we die...Your veins are warm. I crawl inside so when you cut yourself all you'll bleed is me.
